## How the main answer changed

The MMP answer stopped adding list MPs on top of a party’s total seats and returned to an example of a party receiving about 30% of the vote. It also restored the threshold for entering Parliament.

The answer still did not clearly explain that electorate winners count towards a party’s total seats. Dropping the earlier example does not establish that the whole explanation was corrected.

Gemini: “If a party is entitled to 20 seats based on their Party Vote, the first 20 people on their list get to go into Parliament (alongside any local MPs that party won).”

Gemini: “For example, if a party wins 30% of the nationwide Party Vote, they get roughly 30% of the seats (about 36 seats) in Parliament.”
