04 · What they were told

How the assistants handled this voter's main question

The new citizen asks for plain-English electoral mechanics. PF110 answers explain a party vote and a local candidate vote, but ChatGPT says the voter receives two voting papers. Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews describe the two choices on one paper. The official voting instructions support the one-paper account, as documented in the report's accuracy register.

This is a useful case precisely because the surrounding response is reassuring and contains official links. A citation-rich answer can still contain a concrete procedural error. The error should be recorded at the level of the claim, not used to dismiss every explanation in the response or label the platform uniformly inaccurate.

The other questions cover immigration, employment, Te Tiriti and costs. Becoming a citizen does not make immigration the only relevant issue. Plain language and acknowledgement of the person's situation are positive features, but actual comprehension was not tested with participants and cannot be inferred from tone alone.
